Trawsfynydd, North Wales, 2117.
Two hundred years after the death of the Welsh poet Hedd Wyn, a group of pilgrims returns to Trawsfynydd, now an abandoned exclusion zone following a catastrophic failure at a nearby power station, in a quest to reconnect with their Welsh heritage.
Featuring a haunting score by Stephen McNeff, a libretto by the legendary from the imagination of Gruff Rhys and directed by Steffan Donnelly, Hedd Wyn: Eisteddfod Atomig will be an opera like no other.
